Counsellor
Sara is a passionate counsellor with over 15 years of experience in the human services sector. Holding a degree in Psychology and currently pursuing a Diploma in Counselling, Sara specialises in trauma, addiction, and neuroplasticity. She is deeply committed to helping individuals overcome unhelpful patterns of thought and behavior by rewiring their brains through targeted therapeutic interventions. Drawing inspiration from Dr. Norman Doidge’s research on neuroplasticity, Sara helps clients transform their neural pathways, enabling lasting change and healing.
Sara's approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, influenced by pioneers such as Bessel van der Kolk and Gabor Maté, who emphasize the connection between trauma and addiction. She integrates somatic and cognitive modalities, informed by experts like Peter Levine and Stephen Porges, to address the mind-body connection in trauma healing. Sara’s passion for empowering clients to rewrite their personal narratives and achieve emotional regulation reflects her dedication to holistic, client-centered care.
